Valley – Fall Colours

Experience beautiful fall colours on a ride through an area that few locals and even fewer visitors have experienced by bike: the Don Valley.

We’ll take a quiet route through the grounds of Canada’s largest university and through Yorkville (one of Canada’s toniest neighborhoods) to reach the Valley – a large greenspace in the middle of the city that is larger than Central Park. We’ll stop at the Evergreen Brick Works where we will tour the gardens, get a spectacular view of the Toronto skyline from a hilltop perch, and enjoy a sweet treat/beverage at the local café.

We’ll also ride through the neighbourhoods that sit along the Valley’s edge: Rosedale, with its grand homes and quiet tree covered streets, and Cabbagetown – the largest collection of Victorian era houses in North America.

The riding is easy – almost car free on park paths, side streets and separated bike lanes, with beautiful scenery and lots of entertaining stops and stories. You’ll get a glimpse into life in and around the valley – and you’ll get a sense for why they call Toronto “a city in a park”. You’ll also get to experience the Valley in a way that many locals don’t get to – by bike!

This tour is available in the morning and in the early evening.

Terrence toured us through the Valley and it was a wonderful way to experience more of Toronto’s diversity of neighborhoods and landscape. Highly recommend taking the Valley tour! You will be surprised to feel you have traveled to the outskirts of town and into an oasis – but you are still very much in the heart of Toronto. Bikes were excellent and well maintained and safety was observed as a priority by both guides. Loved the great pics our guides took along the way. They also cater to families with young children. Wow! Great time with these guys.
